Anderson Named ACC Rookie of the Week

Boston College's Ryan Anderson was selected ACC Rookie of the Week for the week ending February 19, according to an announcement made by the league office.

Anderson is the third BC player to receive league rookie of the week accolades this season. Dennis Clifford and Lonnie Jackson have also earned the honor.

Anderson averaged 21.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in the Eagles' two games last week -- at Maryland and home against Duke. He shot 53.6 percent (15-for-28) from the floor, including 2-for-4 from three-point range. He also shot 11-for-14 from the foul line. He totaled 22 points and 10 rebounds at Maryland, and 21 points and eight rebounds against Duke.

Boston College (8-19, 3-10 ACC) travels to Wake Forest on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
