CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -
Women's Rowing will hold a learn-to-row and tryout open to all BC students. All interested students are welcome to attend an informational meeting on Monday September 5th at 5:00 PM in the Shea Room (map) in Conte Forum, to learn more about rowing and the BC team.
No rowing experience is necessary to tryout for the team.
"Athletes without any experience in the sport of rowing can become competitive with experienced rowers in a very short period of time. We would encourage anyone who is interested to come to the informational meeting and to the boathouse to see what rowing is all about," commented Assistant Coach Amy Weatherby.
The first practice will take place on September 8th, 2011 to help all new athletes prepare and understand what is expected of BC athletes. The open tryout is scheduled for September 21-22.
It is suggested that anyone interested in rowing starts on the paperwork required to participate in practices. More information about the team and required paperwork available at https://sites.google.com/site/bcwomensrowing/bc-rowing-forms
