Women's Rowing Races at Beanpot

BOSTON, Mass. - Boston College Rowing raced their Boston rivals at the Beanpot on Saturday, April 30th. The teams competing for the Beanpot included Radcliffe, BU, Northeastern, MIT, and BC. This was the final home race for the Eagles before they head to Eastern Sprints in Camden, NJ on May 15th. The BC 4V, which has seen a good bit of success this year, had an aggressive start and battled with BU in the first half of the race. They went hard early in the race and although they challenged for third, they came up with a fourth place finish. BC's 3V maintained a strong pace through the middle of the race moving through the Radcliffe 4V at the 1000 meter mark to get fourth. The Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight both finished in fifth place behind some of the top teams in the Eastern Sprints League. BC and BU were the only teams to enter the Second Varsity Four, where BC finished second.

Varsity Four: coxswain Lauren Beebe, stroke: Victoria Goetz, 3: Sarah Loiselle, 2: Ellen Keenan, bow: Natalie Bowen.
Third Varsity Eight: coxswain Rebekah Straneva, stroke: Chenny Zhang, 7: Emily Lewis, 6: Stephanie Ragland, 5: Karen Campbell, 4: Regina Hayburn, 3: Rachel Pettis, 2: Alexis Carriere, bow: Abigail Oliveira.
Varsity Four B: coxswain Grace Lee, stroke: Katelyn Olsson, 3: Emily Churchill, 2: Jillian Bungard, bow: Karen Shu.
