King, Bailey Are 800 Meter Champions

Boston College track and field members Jillian King and Caitlin Bailey were both crowned 800-meter champions this past weekend.
At the ECAC Championship in Princeton, N.J., Bailey ran a 2:07.11 qualifying time to advance to the finals, where she earned her third consecutive ECAC crown in 2:05.14.
In New Haven, Conn., King claimed the New England Championship with a 2:07.89 clip, becoming the first half-mile winner for the Eagles at the regional competition.
The announcement of the preliminary NCAA Championship field will be released through ncaa.com on May 19. A select group of Eagles will resume competition at the NCAA East Regional in Bloomington, Ind. from May 26-28. Live results and video streaming from the regional meet will be available through iuhoosiers.com.
