Palo Alto, Calif. - Caroline King, Caitlin Bailey and Jillian King ran three of the fastest 1500 meter times in school history on Friday afternoon at the Stanford Invitational.
Out of section one, Caroline won overall event with a time of 4:17.48 - second all-time - with Jill coming around in 4:26.49 for the seventh quickest mark in BC history. Bailey ran a 4:24.57 in section two, a time that stands as fifth fastest in the Eagle record book.
BC had eight more entrants spread across four sections in the 1500. Senior Siobhan Breagy ran near her PR at 4:35.12 in heat three, Heather Garcia ran a 4:49.12 in section six and graduate Jessica Driscoll finished in 4:41.19 in heat seven.
Sophomore Erin McKenna lead the Eagles out of section five, posting a time of 4:38.65. Graduate Samantha Gawrych came in at 4:39.64, followed closely by sophomores Bridget Dahlberg (4:40.07) and Sarah Lord (4:40.73), second year Grace Rodriguez wrapped up the group in 4:46.83.
Senior Hope Krause and sophomore Elizabeth O'Brien set personal records in the 5,000 meter run. Both ran in section four, with Krause taking fourth in 16:53.39 and O'Brien crossing in 17:01.56 for 15th in the field of 40.
Sophomore Taylor Aizenstadt set an outdoor PR of 1.61 meters (5-3.25 ft.) in the high jump, finishing second out of pit two.
