Rowing Opens Fall Season at Head of the Charles

BOSTON, Mass. -
Boston College rowing begins its 2011-2012 season at the 47th Annual Head of the Charles Regatta this weekend, Oct. 22-23. The Eagles will be racing in three events throughout the duration of the well-known regatta on their home course, the Charles River.
The Varsity Eight will race in the Championship Eight event at 2:58 p.m. on Sunday. BC’s second Varsity Eight will race in the Club Eight event on Saturday at 1:26 p.m.
Five freshmen will have their first race as BC Eagles in the Club Four event on Saturday at 12:44 p.m. The Eagles highest finish in 2010 was in the Club Four, where they finished 11th out of 52 entries. Members of that 2010 crew, Da’Loia- Moore and Chavez, now sit in the Championship Eight event where they will face some of the best crews in the country.
