Women's Rowing Ends Season At Eastern Sprints

The Boston College women's rowing team wrapped up their spring season on Sunday, May 16, at the EAWRC (Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges) Sprints on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.
The Eagles entered crews in five races - the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity B Four, Third Varsity Four and Third Varsity C Four.
BC's Varsity Eight crew finished its preliminary race in fifth place in a time of 7:09.645 and bested its time by seven seconds in the afternoon by placing second behind Navy in the 3rd Level Petite Final (7:02.590).
The Second Varsity Eight crew captured sixth place in their respective preliminary race with a time of 7:19.061 and captured fifth place in the afternoon's 3rd Level Petite Final in a time of 7:21.517.
In the Varsity B Four race, the Eagles finished sixth in a time of 8:27.812 in the preliminary and fourth in the Petite Final, surpassing their time from the morning by six seconds (8:21.675).
The Third Varsity Four race saw BC finish fifth in a time of 8:19.805 in the preliminary race and second in the 3rd Level Petite Final with a time of 8:11.766.
BC's Third Varsity C Four took home third in a time of 8:45.382 in the Grand Final.
