Men's Track Competes On Day One At ACC Championships

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Boston College men's track team opened competition at the 2010 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday at the Rock Norman Track and Field Complex on the campus of Clemson University.
Graduate Student Timothy Ritchie competed in the 10000m run on Thursday and finished with a time of 29:55.10. His time was good enough for fifth place in the event which allowed him to take home four points for the Eagles.
Ritchie's time was also good enough for fourth best on the all-time Boston College 10000m outdoor record list.
Junior Matthew Kosmas put in a solid effort as well in the discus throw run finishing in 14th place with a toss of 43.51m
The Eagles currently sit in ninth place with four points in the championships.
