Reggie Jackson Earns ACC Player of the Week Honors

Junior guard Reggie Jackson earned Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week honors after averaging 21.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in victories over Providence and Maryland last week. The weekly award, announced by the league office, is decided by a vote of a 10-member media panel.
Jackson shot 70.0 percent (14-for-20) from the field in the two games, including 83.3 percent (5-for-6) from three-point range.
The Colorado Springs, Colo., resident totaled 26 points and seven rebounds in an 88-86 home win over Providence on Dec. 8. He shot 9-for-12 from the field, including 4-for-4 from three-point range, in the game. He also added four assists and two blocked shots.
In the ACC opener at Maryland on Dec. 12, Jackson registered 16 points and five rebounds. He shot 5-for-8 from the field, 1-for-3 from long range and 5-for-5 from the foul line. He also posted five assists and one blocked shot in the 79-75 victory over the Terrapins.
Through 10 games, Jackson ranks among ACC leaders in eight categories - scoring (second, 19.2 ppg), minutes played (second, 34.3), field-goal percentage (third, .516), three-point field-goal percentage (third, .478), assist-turnover ratio (third, 2.4), assists (fourth, 4.5), free-throw percentage (eighth, .826) and three-point field goals made (2.2).
Boston College (8-2, 1-0 ACC) returns to action on Sunday, December 19 against Bryant. Game time is 3 p.m. in Conte Forum.
