Former Football Player Robert Ziminski Killed In Traffic Accident

"We were shocked and saddened to hear of Robert's tragic death," Boston College Coach Frank Spaziani said. "He was a member of the Boston College football family, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends."
Ziminski, a defensive end, was a member of the Boston College football team from 2002-05 and graduated from BC in 2006. He was a native of Willow Springs, Ill. He was a Deputy Sheriff Corrections Officer for Suffolk County. He is survived by his parents, Eugeniusz and Helen Ziminski, sister Irene Gouge and brother Peter Ziminski, among others.
Boston College and the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department will be holding a memorial service for Robert on Saturday (November 20) at 7 p.m. at Trinity Chapel on the Newton Campus. The Ziminski family is asking that, in lieu of flowers, donations in his name go to either the Argo Scholarship Foundation or the Robert Ziminski Memorial Scholarship Fund.
