Rowing Competes in Green Monster Regatta

HANOVER, N.H. - The Boston College women's rowing team raced in the all-freshmen Green Monster Regatta on Saturday, November 6 in Hanover, N.H. The Eagles raced three boats of eight freshmen against other top-level New England teams on a 5,000 meter course.
The BC A boat (coxswain - Lauren Beebe; stroke - Melissa Chavez; 7 - Ailis Peplau; 6 - Kathryn McKennon; 5 - Caroline Mitton; 4 - Karen Campbell; 3 - Alexis Carriere; 2 - Ellen Keenan; bow - Meghan Smith) finished fourth with a time of 15:36.
The BC B boat (coxswain - Rebekah Straneva; stroke - Lauren Leckenby; 7- Alycia Da'Loia-Moore; 6- Khira Gabliani; 5- Emily Lewis; 4- Alex Smith - 3- Jill Bungard; 2 - M eghan Costopoulous; bow - Maddie Whitehead) finished seventh with a time of 15:50.
The BC C boat (coxswain - Grace Lee; stroke - Alissa Kotowski; 7 - Becca Henriquez; 6 - Abby Oliveira; 5 - Alex Pierce; 4 - Courtney Seitz; 3- Emily Churchill; 2 - Megan Conway; bow - Karen Shu) finished 10th with a time of 16:11, which was faster than many other teams' A and B boats.
The Eagles' last fall competition will be the Foot of the Charles on Saturday, November 3 on the Charles River in Boston, Mass.
