Men's Basketball Wins Exhibition Game, 85-58

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Seniors Biko Paris and Joe Trapani each scored 18 points, and junior Reggie Jackson totaled 16 points and 11 assists to lead Boston College to an 85-58 exhibition victory over Philadelphia University before 2,350 fans in Conte Forum.
The game gave fans their first chance to see new head coach Steve Donahue's imprint on the program. The Eagles shot 15-for-33 from three-point range, sinking nine treys in the first half.
Senior Corey Raji recorded 15 points and eight rebounds, while junior Dallas Elmore rounded out the team's list of double-figure scorers with 10 points.
Boston College led 12-10 with 11:32 to play in the opening half, before hitting seven of its next eight three-point attempts to claim a 33-16 advantage with 4:12 to play in the half. Raji, Elmore and Paris each made two treys in this stretch.
BC led 38-22 at the intermission.
The Eagles continued to execute on the offensive end in the second half, outscoring the visiting Rams 19-6 in the first six minutes. Paris hit two threes and Trapani added one to open the rally. Trapani, Paris (two), Elmore and senior Cortney Dunn each converted lay-ins to cap the run and leave the Eagles with a 57-28 lead.
Game Notes: BC shot 50.8 percent from the field, including 58.1 percent in the second half ... BC gained a 37-27 rebounding advantage ... The Eagles were credited with 26 assists on 31 field goals. While Jackson led the way with 11 assists (versus three turnovers), Paris finished with six assists (one turnover) and Trapani registered five assists (one turnover) ... BC shot 8-for-10 from the foul line.
