Castonzo Named To Academic All-District Team

Senior LT Anthony Castonzo has been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District 1 First Team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Castonzo will now be put on the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. This marks the second time that Castonzo has earned this honor.
Castonzo is a biochemistry major in the School of Arts and Sciences at Boston College. He holds a 3.60 GPA, while also being both active in the community and one of the captains of the team. He has started all 49 games since his arrival on campus in 2007.
The Hawthorn Woods, IL product has been recognized numerous times for his academic prowess. He was recently named a National Scholar-Athlete by the National Football Foundation and received an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship.
He is also a finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, which is given to one senior football student-athlete who has notable achievements in four areas of excellence - community, classroom, character and competition.
