Women's Rowing Competes in Textile Regatta

LOWELL, Mass. - The Boston College women's rowing team competed in the 31st annual Textile Regatta in Lowell, Mass. on Sunday, October 3.
The Eagles raced in three separate events: the Club 8, the Women's Open 4, and the Women's Open 8.
The team's best finish came in the Women's Open 4 from the Varsity A boat (cox - Brigid Morrissey; Erin Flaherty; Erin Roche; Megan Carmody; Laura Petty), which placed second with a time of 22:59.
Earlier, the Club 8 boat (cox - Jane Mieckowski; Emily Charnowski; Stephanie Setiz; Regina Hayburn; Victoria Goetz; Erica Jennings; Rachel Pettis; Sarah Loiselle; India DuBois) placed 13th with a time of 23:29.
BC other two boats in the Women's Open 4 were the Varsity B boat (cox - Jasmine Howard; Kelly Williams; Chenny Zhang; Rachel Pettis; Regina Hayburn), which placed 16th with a time of 26:21 and the Varsity C boat (cox - Allison Chase; Sarah Loiselle; Victoria Goetz; Erica Jennings; India DuBois), which placed 24th with a time of 28:13.
Finally, BC competed in the Women's Open 8 (cox - Brigid Morrissey; Erin Flaherty; Erin Roche; Megan Carmody; Laura Petty; Emily Charnowski; Stephanie Seitz; Chenny Zhang; Kelly Williams) and finished sixth with a time of 23:08.
The Eagles return to competition on October 23 in the Head of the Charles race in Boston, Mass.
