King Wins Dartmouth Invitational

Hanover, N.H. - The Boston College women's cross country team, led by freshman Jillian King, turned in a first place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational on September 12. The Eagles had four runners place in the top 10, and two runners place in the top two spots. The meet featured two other schools in Dartmouth and Quinnipiac.
The Eagles won the meet with 28 points, while Dartmouth's 41 points were good enough for second place. Quinnipiac came in third with 65 points.
Two freshmen led the way for Boston College as King crossed the line first with a time of 20:08, while classmate Grace Rodriguez finished in second place with a time of 20:24.80.
Junior Christy Titus finished in fifth place with a time of 20:43.30, and freshman Bridget Dahlberg rounded out the Eagles top 10 finishers by finishing in ninth place with a time of 20:49.50.
The outstanding freshman efforts did not stop outside the top 10 as three more freshmen finished in 11th, 12th and 13th respectively for BC. Moira Kenny finished in 11th with a time of 20:54.10. Allison Stasiuk finished in 12th place with a time of 20:55.20. Lastly, Meaghan Anklin crossed the line in 13th place at the 21:02.60 mark.
BC will now prepare for the Massachusetts Invitational which will be held on September 19 in Amherst, Mass.
