CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - With the sky overhead growing increasingly darker as the day went on, the football team headed out to practice within the confines of their home stadium for the first time this preseason. The Eagles also strapped on their shoulder pads for the first time and quickly began hitting drills at the start of practice.
Head coach Frank Spaziani entered the stadium with a positive attitude and joked with his offensive linemen that they "looked bigger with pads on." Keeping with his light mood before practice got underway, he asked the awaiting press, "You want an update?" After they responded "Yes," he laughed and said, "The Yankees are up 2-1 in the fifth."
Former BC stars Brian Toal and BJ Raji were surprise guests to the third practice of camp. Toal has signed on to play for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League while Raji was the ninth overall pick for Green Bay in the 2009 NFL Draft.
