Castonzo, Tennant Named To Preseason All-ACC Football Team

Two members of the Boston College offensive line - senior center Matt Tennant and junior offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo - were named to the preseason All-ACC football team, the league announced today.
Tennant has started the past 28 consecutive games at center for the Eagles and has been named to the 2009 Rimington Trophy watch list. He was an All-ACC honorable mention selection last season.
Castonzo made the move from right tackle to left tackle and started all 14 games there last season. He was an All-ACC second-team selection in 2008.
In addition to Castonzo and Tennant, the preseason All-ACC team included QB Russell Wilson (NC State); RB Jonathan Dwyer (Georgia Tech); RB CJ Spiller (Clemson); WR Demaryius Thomas (Georgia Tech); WR Jacoby Ford (Clemson); TE Greg Boone (Virginia Tech); OT Jason Fox (Miami); OG Sergio Render (Virginia Tech); OG Rodney Hudson (Florida State); PK Matt Bosher (Miami); DE Jason Worilds (Virginia Tech); DE Willie Young (NC State); DT Vince Oghobaase (Duke); DT Marvin Austin (North Carolina); LB Dekoda Watson (Florida State); LB Quan Sturdivant (North Carolina); LB Alex Wujciak (Maryland); CB Ras-I Dowling (Virginia); CB Kendric Burney (North Carolina); S Morgan Burnett (Georgia Tech); S Kam Chancellor (Virginia Tech); and P Travis Baltz (Maryland).
The Eagles open the 2009 season Sept. 5 vs. Northeastern in Alumni Stadium.
