Women's Track & Field Wraps Up at ACC Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The Boston College women's track and field team completed its stint at the 2009 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, held at Cobb Stadium on the campus of the University of Miami.
The Eagles finished in 12th place with eight points. Florida State won the meet with a total of 160 points. Virginia Tech came in second place while North Carolina finished third.
Sophomore Samantha Gawrych took fifth in the 800m on Saturday by crossing in 2:10.03 while classmate Madeline Wallace finished eighth with a time of 2:12.88.
Freshman Anna Cioffredi finished seventh in the 400m dash with a time of 55.37.
Sophomore Brielle Chabot picked up a point for the women with her eighth place finish in the 10,000m run. She finished the race with a time of 37:07.9.
The women will compete in the Penn Relays next weekend in Philadelphia.
