Women's Rowing Opens Spring Season at Jesuit Invitational

The Boston College women's rowing team began its spring season on Saturday, March 21, at the tenth Jesuit Invitational on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. The regatta is hosted by St. Joseph's University and features only Jesuit universities competing for the Cannonball Trophy.
The Eagles entered four races. The Varsity 8 finished in second place only 1.66 seconds behind St. Joseph's. In BC's second Varsity 8 race, the Eagles came in second again behind St. Joseph's with a time of 7:21.72.
The Freshmen 4 took second place with a time of 8:52.41. Loyola took first in 8:27.0.
BC placed third in the Varsity 4 with a time of 8:33.84 behind first place Loyola (8:25.5) and second place Fairfield (8:30.98).
Boston College continues its spring season on Saturday, April 4, against Dartmouth, Northeastern, and Rhode Island on the Charles River in Boston, Mass.
