2009 Softball Season Kicks Off Friday

Head Coach Jen Finley and the Eagles will begin their season on Friday in Shreveport, La.

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College softball team begins its season on Friday at the Centenary Tournament in Shreveport, La.

The Centenary Tournament hosts five other teams in a round-robin format: Boston College, Missouri State, SIU-Edwardsville, Nicholls State, and Bryant. The Eagles will take on Centenary in their first game of the season on Friday at 3:30 pm. They will continue action at 5:30 pm against Missouri State.

On Saturday, they play Nicholls State at 9:30 am, and on Sunday, they will conclude the tournament with games against Bryant at 9:30 am, and SIU-Edwardsville at 1:30 pm.

"We're excited to get the 2009 season underway," head coach Jennifer Finley said. "I'm looking forward to see the fight our team brings day in and day out to accomplish our goals."

All games will be played at the Centenary Softball Complex.
