Men's Track Competes at ACC Championships

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Boston College men's track and field team competed in the 2009 ACC Indoor Championships this past weekend at Rector Field House on the campus of Virginia Tech.
Senior Timothy Ritchie placed in the top 10 in a couple of events. He took 10th in the 3000m with a time of 8:23.86 and finished sixth overall in the 5000m run with a time of 14:28.57.
Sophomore Mathew Kosmas also had a good showing after finishing 10th in the weight throw with a toss of 14.60m.
Florida State won the team title with a total of 125 points Virginia Tech and Virginia coming in second and third, respectively.
The men will be back in action next weekend when they compete in the IC4A Championships that will be held at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
