Senior C Matt Tennant has been named one of six finalists for the Rimington Trophy, presented to the outstanding center in college football.
Tennant joins New England Patriots' center Dan Koppen as the only Boston College finalists in the award's history.
Tennant has been a mainstay at the center position for the last three seasons as he has started all 40 games there since winning the job prior to the 2007 season. He was an All-ACC Second Team selection this year.

Tennant and company have also opened holes for RB Montel Harris, who ranks second in the ACC and 18th in the country in rushing (112.9). His 1,355 yards this season are the 12th-most in the FBS.
Tennant joins John Estes (Hawaii), Chris Hall (Texas), Jake Kirkpatrick (TCU), Maurkice Pouncey (Florida) and J.D. Walton (Baylor) as the finalists for the Rimington Trophy.
The winner of the Rimington Trophy will be announced during the ESPNU/Home Depot College Football Awards show, broadcast live from Orlando, Fla. on ESPN on December 10.
