NEWTON, Mass. - Senior Mor Avi Hanan scored midway through the first half and the host Eagles maintained a one-goal lead for the next 49 minutes before Yale scored twice in 10 minutes, 53 seconds and earned a 2-1 non-conference victory over BC before 336 fans at the Newton Campus Complex.
Milan Tica tied the score with a header off a corner kick at 70:04 and Aden Farina-Henry one-timed the game-winning goal at 80:57 to lift the Bulldogs to victory. Goalkeeper Travis Chulick recorded four saves.
Yale improves its record to 3-4-2 while Boston College falls to 5-6.
The host Eagles enjoyed a 10-6 advantage in shots in the first half of play and numerous prime scoring chances.
Shortly after Avi Hanan gave BC a lead at 21:40 by one-timing freshman Colin Murphy's cross into the back of the net, freshman midfielder Kyle Bekker nearly netted a sinking right-footed kick from 26 yards that grazed the crossbar on its way out of play.
Just minutes later, senior midfielder Karl Reddick redirect a Murphy cross with a header that sailed over the crossbar. Reddick nearly struck with a head ball again in the 43rd minute off an Avi Hanan's corner kick. The header was kicked aside by a diving Bulldog defender, marking Yale's lone team save in the match.
The Eagles finished with a 19-14 edge in shots in the contest.
BC freshman goalkeeper Justin Luthy made five saves.
BC attempted six corner kicks - three in each half - while Yale attempted five second-half corners.
