Softball Elects 2009 Captains

Seniors Angela Pandolfo, Danielle Pandolfo and Renee Ramos have been elected 2009 Boston College softball captains, according to an announcement made by head coach Jen Finley.
Angela Pandolfo, a fifth-year outfielder, returns for her second consecutive season as team captain. Over her career, Pandolfo has seen action in 101 games, starting in 66 contests.
Danielle Pandolfo, also an outfielder joins Angela - her older sister - as team captain. Pandolfo missed most of last season because of a knee injury. She has played in 58 career games, making 36 starts.
Ramos earned second team All-ACC honors after a breakout season in 2008. She registered team highs in batting average (.341) with hits (58), home runs (10) and RBI (45).
The Eagles open their fall season on Sept. 20 at UMass-Amherst.
