Two Athletes Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Chestnut Hill, MA - Boston College juniors Emily Hannigan and Katie DeBlois have been named to the 2008 Intercolegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Roll.
To be eligible players must have achieved junior year status and have a minimum GPA of 3.2.
Hannigan, a native of Needham, MA, is also three-time member of the All-ACC Academic team. She started all 17 games as a defender, was second on the team in caused turnovers (21) and was third in ground balls (22) and draw controls (23). Additionally, she had nine points on the strength of five goals and four assists.
DeBlois, a native of Fayetteville, N.Y. is a three-time recipient of the Athletics Director's Award for Academic Achievement at BC. She played in all 17 games as a defender, picked up five ground balls, won three draw controls and caused nine turnovers.
In addition to two individual honors, BC also earned team honors as one of IWLCA's 2008 Academic Squads.
