Incoming Lacrosse Players Earn All-America Status

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Two Boston College incoming freshmen were named to the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse team, according to an announcement on May 22. Liz Donovan of Ridgewood, N.J., and Sam Taylor of Topsfield, Mass., earned spots on the 22-player Girls' North Team roster.
Donovan is a former teammate of current Eagle Jill Amo. The two played together at Ridgewood High School. The defender now captains Lax Power's15th-ranked team in the state. In 2007, she was named a first-team All-North Jersey, first-team All-Suburban, first-team Stars Division and US Lacrosse Academic All-America.
Taylor, a midfielder, earned first-team All-American status for the second straight year. She also was named All-League in 2007 and played for the Lower New England Team I at US Lacrosse's National Tournament. The Pingree School student was named Salem Evening News' Most Valuable Player and is currently the captain of the 2008 team.
Head Coach Bowen Holden will welcome the two All-Americans with six other incoming players for the 2008-09 season.
