Sailing Team Earn NEISA Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Boston College juniors Adam Roberts and Carrie Amarante have been named the Coed Sailors of the Week for the second time this spring for winning A Division at the Admirals' Cup hosted by the US Merchant Marine Academy this past weekend. Roberts and Amarante won five races and only finished out of the top ten twice.
The BC women's team won the Jerry Reed Trophy for the New England Championship hosted by Yale this past weekend. The Eagles were paced by Leigh Kempton and Emily Flint who claimed the top spot in A Division. For their efforts Kempton and Flint have named the Sailors of the Week by the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association. After stumbling to a twenty-two point set in the first two races, Kempton and Flint went on a tear that saw them win four out of the next five races. They went on to win the division by two points over Tufts.
