Baseball Season Opener Postponed

STATESBORO, Ga. - Friday's Boston College baseball season-opening game at Georgia Southern has been postponed due to inclement weather conditions. The game has been rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 23 at J.I. Clements Stadium. The two teams will take part in a doubleheader starting at 2:30 p.m.

In game-one, BC will send senior right-handed pitcher Terry Doyle to the mound. Last season, Doyle posted a 4-5 record with a 5.87 ERA in 69.0 innings of work.

Georgia Southern will counter with junior Drew Murray. The right-hander went 4-7 with a 5.66 ERA last season.

In the second game, BC junior right-hander Dan Houston (3-4, 5.24 ERA) will start against Georgia Southern senior left-hander Aaron Eubanks (3-5, 4.32 ERA).

The first game will air live on Comcast SportsNet New England at 2:30 p.m. The game will re-air on CSS on Sunday at noon.
