Softball Releases 2009 Schedule

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College softball team, coming off its best season since 2004, announced the 2009 campaign this week.
The team, which recorded 32 wins last season, will travel to four separate tournaments to open its schedule, starting on Feb. 6.
The first tournament will be held in Shreveport, La. The team will continue traveling to Orlando, Fla., for an invitational hosted by Central Florida and then to Chattanooga, Tenn., from Feb. 27 to March 1. The tournament schedule will conclude with the Buzz Classic hosted by Georgia Tech in Woodstock, GA beginning on March 6.
The Eagles' home opener comes on March 25 when they play against Boston University. They play another game at the Heights on March 26 against Connecticut.
2008 NCAA regional finalist Massachusetts visits Boston College on April 8 for a single game. BC continues regular season action until May 2 and 3 when they host Florida State to wrap up the 2009 schedule.
The Eagles named seniors Angela Pandolfo (outfield), Danielle Pandolfo (outfield) and Renee Ramos (second base) as the team's captains for the upcoming season. The team returns eleven other letter winners and welcomes six newcomers.
