Citing a difference in philosophies in the direction of the program, Boston College offensive line coach Jim Turner resigned Monday to pursue other career opportunities.
Turner, a 1988 Boston College graduate and captain of the 1987 team, joined the BC coaching staff in January after two seasons as offensive line coach and one season as associate head coach at the University of Delaware. Turner also has coached at Northeastern, Louisiana Tech, Harvard, and Temple.
"I would like to thank Jim for his many contributions to Boston College through the years," Director of Athletics Gene DeFilippo says. "He's a real BC guy and a heck of a football coach. We wish him nothing but the best."
