Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College fell to 1-3 on the season, losing 11-1 to Oregon State yesterday in Hawaii. Eagles starting pitcher Taylor Peyton kept the 17th-ranked Beavers in check early on, before the floodgates opened up in the fourth inning.
Two Eagles errors helped the Beavers to a four-run inning, and a subsequent 5-0 lead. The Eagles struck back with one run in the bottom of the fourth, on a solo homerun by Senior Britney Thompson.
BC would get no closer, as Oregon State struck for six more runs in the fifth, en route to the 11-1 victory.
