Eagles Lose 5-1 To Pacific

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College Softball team fell to 1-5 on the year after a 5-1 loss to The University of Pacific.
The Eagles got out to a good start, putting up a run in the first, after Senior shortstop Jenna Machi doubled and came around to score. Pacific answered with a run of its own in the bottom of the first, and the score remained tied until the fourth.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Pacific got to Eagles starting pitcher, Freshman Taylor Peyton. Pacific put up four runs in the inning, cruising to the 5-1 victory.
For the Eagles, Macchi carried the day at the plate, going 3-4 and scoring BC's lone run.
