Dudley, Marshall, Rice Earn All-District Honors

Boston College forward Jared Dudley has earned All-District first-team honors, and teammates Sean Marshall and Tyrese Rice have earned All-District second-team honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches, according to an announcement made by the organization.
Dudley is joined on the District I first team by Holy Cross' Keith Simmons, Providence's Herbert Hill, and Massachusetts' Rashaun Freeman and Stephane Lasme.
Joining Marshall and Rice on the second team are Connecticut's Jeff Adrien, Providence's Geoff McDermott and Vermont's Mike Tromboli.
This year marks the third consecutive season in which Dudley has earned NABC All-District honors.
The 6-foot-7-inch Dudley is currently averaging 19.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, both team highs. He has scored in double figures in all 25 games in which he's played this season. He has notched 10 point-rebound double-doubles. The senior enters Sunday's regular-season finale with 1,991 career points.
The 6-foot-6-inch Marshall is averaging 14.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. He has scored in double figures 21 times this season, including eight games with 20 or more points. A senior, Marshall has played in and started all 128 games since arriving at BC in the fall of 2003.
The 6-foot-1-inch Rice is averaging 17.0 points, 5.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. A sophomore guard, he currently leads all Atlantic Coast Conference players in assists, averaging 5.13 assists per game in league contests. The Richmond, Va., resident has scored 20 or more points in 10 games this season. He has registered 10 or more assists in each of three games.
The NABC selects All-District teams in 15 districts across the nation. The 150 student-athletes selected to the All-District teams (first and second teams) are now eligible for the NABC All-America teams. The All-America selections will be announced at the conclusion of the 2006-07 regular season.
Boston College, which has a 19-9 record, concludes its regular-season slate on Sunday, March 4 at Georgia Tech.
