Pinehurst, N.C. - The Boston College men's golf team opened their fall schedule at the Pinehurst Invitational, which included sixteen other schools from across the nation. Boston College placed 12th overall in its first meet of the year, which was hosted by UNC-Greensboro. The Eagles were led by junior Alex Snickenberger, who placed 18th overall. Snickenberger shot one under par for the tournament. The University of Wisconsin won the invitational, finishing -17.
Senior Kyle Kelly had the best round amongst the Eagles, shooting three under par in round 2, placing him second on the team and 24th overall. Junior Bob Reed finished 40th in the tournament. Junior Jim Granello and senior Ryan Sturma rounded out the performances for the Eagles.
The next tournament for the Boston College men's golf team will be September 18 and 19 at the Towson Invitational in Myersville, Md.
