
Men's Golf Takes Second at ECAC Championships

Charlestown, R.I. - The Boston College men's golf team placed second at the ECAC Championships over the weekend. The Eagles competed against 11 schools from throughout New England in the two round tournament. Boston College finished with 613 points, tied with Sacred Heart for second place. Rhode Island finished first with 602 points. Hartford and Central Connecticut rounded out the top five with 615 and 618 points, respectively.
The Eagles were led by junior Jim Granello, who placed sixth overall with a score of 151. Granello also had a team-best round of 71. Freshman Jan Prokop finished 12th, continuing his impressive freshman campaign, shooting 153 over the two rounds.
Junior Alex Snickenberg was 19th with a score of 155, while senior Kyle Kelly and junior Robert Reed were tied for 23rd, shooting 156 in the tournament.
The men's golf team will look to keep their momentum at the final tournament of their fall schedule at the Roadrunner Invitational in Kerrville, Texas on October 23 and 24. The meet is hosted by the University of Texas at San Antonio.
