Sophomore Mike Konicoff and junior Charlie Davies each netted one goal to lead Boston College to a 2-1 non-league victory over St. Peter's at the Newton Campus Soccer Field.
Konicoff gave BC a 1-0 lead at 18:16, taking a feed from Davies and beating Peacocks' goalkeeper Matt Lawlor. Davies doubled the BC margin at 22:06, with senior Sam Brill and junior Sherron Manswell picking up assists.
St. Peter's got on the board at 34:10 on junior Juan Gaviria's goal. Kevin Hudson assisted on the score.
Both teams enjoyed other prime opportunities, but failed to convert. Davies was hauled down in the box just 2:37 into the match, but shot the penalty kick over the net.
St. Peter's Murphy Wiredu sent a blistering direct kick on net at 11:15 and the got off a great shot from 16 feet out in the match's 14th minute, but each time BC goalkeeper Shane Boggis made the stop.
BC sophomore Reuben Ayarna hit the crossbar with a blast from 22 feet at 19:12.
The host Eagles outshot the Peacocks, 18-9, and enjoyed a 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.
Boggis finished with three saves, while St. Peter's Lawlor made four stops.
