Junior Charlie Davies scored two goals and sophomore Paul Gerstenberger tallied one assist as Boston College dropped a 3-2 decision to non-league opponent Yale in New Haven, Conn.
Yale's Gage Hills got the host Bulldogs on the scoreboard early with his unassisted goal at 3:14. The goal was the lone score of the first half.
Davies tied the score at one goal each just 56 seconds into the second half with his first goal of the game, before the host Bulldogs responded with consecutive goals by Jordan Rieger at 51:04 and Alex Munns at 71:08.
Davies netted his second goal of the game - and fifth of the season - at 88:28 for the 3-2 final score. Gerstenberger tallied an assist on the goal.
The visiting Eagles out shot the Bulldogs, 17-11, while the two teams had three corner kicks apiece.
Shane Boggis recorded his fourth start this season in net and allowed one goal. Issey Maholo made his 2006 debut in the second half and registered three saves in the final 45 minutes. Yale's Erik Geiger recorded four saves in the match.
