CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Two games at Wisconsin and two visits from Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) teams are among the highlights of Boston College's 2006-07 men's hockey schedule.
After an Oct. 7 exhibition contest, the team's 36-game regular-season slate begins with a home game against conference foe Northeastern on Oct. 10. Three days later, BC hosts the US Under-18 Team in another exhibition contest (Oct. 13). The US team is led by former BC associate head coach Ron Rolston.
The Eagles welcome two CCHA foes to Kelley Rink the following weekend. BC renews its rivalry with Notre Dame on Oct. 20, before playing host to Bowling Green the following night. Bowling Green is led by former BC associate head coach Scott Paluch.
BC opens the road portion of its schedule with two games against Wisconsin in Madison, Wis., on Oct. 27 and 28. The games against the Badgers will represent a rematch of last season's national championship game.
BC's first conference road game will be played at Providence on Halloween Night (Oct. 31).
Another schedule highlight will be two games against Harvard - on Nov. 7 in Bright Arena in Cambridge, and on Monday, Feb. 5 (at 8 p.m.) in the first round of the Beanpot in Boston's TD Banknorth Garden.
BC plays 10 Hockey East contests before the end of the 2006 calendar year. Once January rolls around, the Eagles will have 17 league games and two Beanpot contests left on the schedule.
BC finishes the regular season with two games against New Hampshire. On March 2, the Eagles travel to Durham, N.H., to meet the Wildcats. New Hampshire visits Kelley Rink for "Senior Night" on March 3.
