Softball's Jenna Macchi Named to ACC All-Tournament Team

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Junior shortstop Jenna Macchi has been named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Tournament team, announced by the conference Sunday. Macchi led the field in batting average (.571) after going 4-for-7 in the Eagles two tournament games, including a double and a home run.
Macchi finished the season with a .379 batting average. She started all 48 games with 35 runs on 61 hits. She recorded 14 doubles, seven home runs and 29 RBIs. Macchi set a new BC single-season record for doubles (14) in the Eagles 7-3 loss to Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament. Her 61 hits tie her for second on the single-season records list with Cara Blumfield.
The Eagles finish the season with a 22-26 overall record and 6-15 in the ACC.
