Women's Track Competes at Solomon Invitational

Boston, Mass. - The Boston College women's track and field team competed at the Solomon Invitational, hosted by Northeastern University on Saturday, April 15. The Eagles had a strong showing, and was highlighted by Julie Regan's performance in the high jump. Her mark of 5-6.50 landed her on second on BC's all-time performance list.
Alison Fogarty finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.81, while Nichole Lister was the third in the 800. Lister finished in 2:16.27.
Lister also headlined a sweep of the top four spots in the 1500 as Lister, Jess Flinn, Nikki Tufts and Alexis Lake recorded fast times.
Kasey Hill, the school record holder in the heptathlon, claimed first place in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 13.91. Katherine Sherman finshed fourth in the event. Sherman won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.03.
Julie Regan, Chelsea Halbmaier and Tiana Riel finished second, third and fourth, respectively in the high jump. Regan's mark of 5-6.50 feet, places her second on the all-time outdoor performance list.
The duo of Hill and Riel took first and second in the long jump, while Chelsea Jones placed second in the shotput.
The Eagles return to action on Thursday, April 20 at the ACC Championship in Winston-Salem, N.C. The three-day event is hosted by Wake Forest.
