Orlando, Fla. - The Boston College baseball team collected 10 hits, but left nine on base in losing its second straight game, falling to Bethune-Cookman 8-2 in Orlando, Fla.
The Wildcats jumped on the board quickly off BC starter Dan Houston, grabbing a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, and adding four more runs in the top of the third to take a 5-0 lead.
The Eagles countered in the bottom of the third when Johnny Ayers drove in Ryan Hutchinson on one of his three hits on the day. Ayers drove in Hutchinson again in the seventh for the only other run BC could generate.
Nick Asselin struck out seven in five innings of relief, while allowing three runs.
