Baseball Drops 6-2 Decision To St. Joseph's

Orlando, Fla. - The Boston College baseball team lost for just the seond time in ten games this season, falling to St. Joseph's 6-2.
Matt Meyer started for the Eagles and pitched well, surrendering two runs and five hits over five innings of work. St. Joe's scored one run in the second and the fifth inning, grabbing a 2-0 lead before the Eagles struck back.
Jared McGuire homered to start the seventh and the Eagles attempted to add more when Jett Ruiz reached on error, and Eric Campbell singled to center. However, a double play ended the inning, and the Eagles remained down 2-1.
In the St. Joe's half of the inning, the Hawks added four more runs after loading the bases and getting a base-clearing double by Matt Godusky.
The Eagles comeback was halted after scoring one run in the eigth and being shutout in the ninth.
BC will meet Bethune-Cookman later tonight at 7 p.m.
