Altamonte Springs, Fla. - The Eagles (4-7) fell 10-0 to St. John's on Tuesday, March 7, at Central Florida's Merrill Park.
Kristin Allain had the Eagles lone hit in the first, when the senior singled in the bottom of the inning.
St. John's scored three of their runs in the first inning and four in the second inning. Their final three runs came in the third inning.
Savana Lloyd, Britney Thompson and Elena Ferrero shared pitching duties for the Eagles as Lloyd pitched 2.1 innings, and Thompson (0.2 innings) and Ferrero (1.0 inning) shared the final 3.2 innings of play. Lloyd and Ferrero each recorded a strikeout. Jenna Macchi recorded four assists, while Thompson had five put outs and Ashley Obrest had four.
The Eagles face Campbell and Florida International on Wednesday, March 8, in Miami Fla., at 3:00 and 5:00 EST.
