Women's Lacrosse Defeated By Brown, 10-7

Providence, R.I. - Boston College junior Katherine Wagoner led the Eagles with three goals as BC lost its second game this season to Brown University, 10-7. Co-captain Elizabeth Kadison added two goals as the Eagles were unable to stop the Bears from scoring five unanswered goals at the end of the second half. The Eagles fall to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Freshman Lauren Fitzpatrick tied the game up at one a piece at 9:20 in the first on a free-position shot. Kadison scored next for BC as Jenna McCabe assisted on the play. Brown scored three minutes later as both team battled back and forth to find each other's net. Wagoner scored all three of her goals in the first half. At halftime the Eagles led, 5-4.
Kadison started off the scoring in the second half as junior Meghan Davis was credited with the assist. Brown found the net five minutes later to come within one of the Eagles at 6-5. McCabe notched her second point of the game at 13:29 in the second on a free-position shot, putting the Eagles up for the last time, 7-5. Brown then scored five goals within 12 minutes to give the Bears the lead and the game, with a final score of 10-7.
Senior tri-captain Brooke Wilson and freshman Emily Hannigan led the Eagles with three groundballs a piece. Freshman goalie, Katie Monaghan made three saves on the afternoon.
The Eagles travel to Longwood University in Farmville, Va. on March, 8 as the two teams face-off at 2 p.m. BC will then travel to Charlottesville, Va. on Sunday, March, 12 to take on host Virginia for its second game in ACC action this year.
