
Women's Tennis Falls To Clemson, 5-2

Clemson, S.C. - The Boston College women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to conference foe No. 32 Clemson in South Carolina.
The Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by sweeping the doubles side. Dasha Cherkasov and Lana Krasnopolsky kept the No. 1 match close against the No. 9 ranked tandem in the nation, Carol Salge and Federica van Adrichem, before falling 8-5.
On the singles side, Krasnopolsky won at No. 3 singles, defeating Maria Brito in a hard-fought 6-4, 4-6, 7-5. Szilvia Szegedi had the most impressive performance on the day, dropping No. 45 ranked van Adrichem at No. 1 singles.
Clemson finished off the Eagles in the remaining matches to earn the 5-2 win.
BC will face Georgia Tech tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Atlanta, Ga.
