Jared Dudley Earns ACC Player of the Week Honors

Senior forward Jared Dudley earned Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week honors after posting consecutive 20-point efforts in victories over Fairfield and Maryland last week. The weekly award, announced by the league office, is decided by a vote of a 10-member media panel.
Dudley averaged 20.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in BC's two victories last week. He shot 73.9 percent (17-for-23) from the field.
The senior from San Diego, Calif., tallied 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes of action against Fairfield on Dec. 6. Four nights later, in the team's conference opener against Maryland, Dudley totaled 20 points, 11 rebounds and three assists in 40 minutes. The game marked Dudley's fifth point-rebound double-double of the season and the 19th double-double of his 108-game collegiate career.
With his 20 points against Maryland, Dudley moved into 10th place on Boston College's career scoring list with 1,654 points. His 11 rebounds against the Terrapins moved him into the eighth spot on the school's career rebounding list with 764 rebounds.
Dudley is averaging 19.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game through eight games. He leads all ACC players in rebounding and ranks fourth in scoring.
Boston College (6-2) returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 17 against Sacred Heart. Game time is 1 p.m. in Conte Forum.
