Providence, R.I.--The fourth-ranked Boston College field hockey team slid by a determined Providence College team Wednesday evening in Providence, 2-1. The 12th-ranked Friars drop to 11-2, and the Eagles improve to the same 11-2 overall record. The win keeps Boston College's win-streak alive at a season-high six games.

Boston College came out strong in the second half, taking eight shots and forcing Chamberlain to make three stops. Senior Caitlin Gillen's shot at 50:28 slipped into the net for her third goal of the season and the gamewinner. Sophomore Katie Quaglia picked up her league-leading tenth assist of the season.
Overall, Boston College outshot Providence, 14-5. Sophomore goalkeeper Julia Berkowitz made two saves in her 11th win while Chamberlain stopped five shots for the Friars.
