Boston, Mass. - The Boston College women's cross country team placed seventh at the 17th annual Mayor's Cup held at Franklin Park in Boston. The field included pro and semi-pro runners as well as three college teams (Boston College, Providence and Dartmouth) who competed in the 5k event. The Eagles finished seventh with 157 points out of eight competing teams. Providence placed fifth with 151 points, while Dartmouth was eighth finishing with 227 points.
Boston College was led by junior Lynn Kubeja who was 27th overall and crossed the line in 19:03. Freshmen Lauren Johnston and Gretchen Andrus were 30th and 31st with times of 19:09 and 1910. Junior Jennifer Heyde and freshman Jessica Rogers rounded out the top five for the Eagles. Heyde was 33rd , crossing in 19:14 while Jessica Rogers finished in 19:29.
Boston College women's cross country will next compete at the ACC Championships on Saturday, October 28th at the ACC Championships in Charlottesville, Va.
