Charlie Davies Earns National Player Of The Week Recognition

Boston College junior forward Charlie Davies has earned national player of the week honors, according to an announcement made by College Soccer News on Monday.
Davies scored two goals and assisted on the third to lead Boston College to a 3-1 road victory over No. 2 Maryland on Saturday in College Park, Md.
Davies has tallied a school single-season record 34 points - 14 goals and six assists - in 13 games.
With two goals at second-ranked Maryland, the Manchester, N.H., resident established a BC single-season record, surpassing the previous mark of 13 set by former Eagle Charlie Munkhenk in 1970.
Davies currently leads the ACC in seven offensive categories, including shots (63), points (34), goals (14) and game-winning goals (5).
Boston College is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 18 when the team travels to Hanover, N.H., for a non-conference game against Dartmouth. Game time is 3 p.m.
