Men's Cross Country Places Fifth at Dartmouth Invitational

The men's cross country team finished in fifth place at the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 10 in Hanover, N.H. Dan Springer was the top BC performer finishing 25th in a time of 26 minutes, 35.40 seconds.
Joseph Lesniak (42nd), David Emerson (45th), James LaGreca (49th), Stephen Walsh (64th), Patrick Viklund (66th) and Brendan Collins (81st) also competed in the first race of the season.
Taylor Gorman made his collegiate debut as an Eagle. The team finished with a total of 160 points for fifth place. Springer (21 pts.) finished first for the Eagles, Lesniak (28 pts.) came in second and Emerson (31 pts.) was the third BC finisher.
Top returning runners captain Mark Alizzi, Patrick Mellea and Jeremy Zagorski did not compete for the Eagles at Dartmouth.
On Friday, Sept. 23, the Eagles return to action against Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.
